Your generosity has a multiplying effect. By leveraging private philanthropy with public funding, municipal partnerships, foundations, and other investments, every $1 donated helps generate approximately $20 in community investment. And through the Massachusetts Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC), gifts of $1,000 or more may qualify for a 50% refundable state tax credit, making your impact go even further.
Identifying appropriate land is paramount to developing smart affordable housing in the southern Berkshires. Impact South County has worked closely with towns and open space organizations to locate available and appropriate sites for housing.
Similar to land trusts, donations of real estate to Impact South County for affordable housing development are tax deductible. Please contact us with your ideas or for more information.
